Värnamo Zontaklubb is organizing an evening of soup and lecture with support from the Inger and Sixten Norhed Foundation.

Maria Skenegård suffered a parent's nightmare - her ex-husband kept their three children after a trip to Lebanon - For eight years she was not allowed to be near them. For five years she did not see them at all.

A child being separated from a parent against their will or without legal grounds is one of the most painful crises a family can experience. Through her lecture A Woman's Struggle, Maria sheds light on the illegal abduction of children. She wants to give a voice to the affected children and demand stronger, faster and more coordinated support from society. It is a question of protecting children's rights and ensuring that no parent is left alone in the fight for their child's safety. The message is reinforced with musical elements by Maria Boberg.
