The theater performance "We should have played Lysistrata"

Program:

Fare: 350 SEK for fish soup, sour cream, bread, wine/water, theater, coffee and cake.

The theater performance:

The play "We Should Have Played Lysistrate" is written by Stina Oscarsson. In the performance at the Nya Teatern, Angeliqa Biro is in charge of direction and technology. Matilda Modigh is in charge of music. The actors are Agneta Öhman, Elisabeth Schöllin and Anne Matthiesen. Ruben Hansson is the prompter.

The plot: 

Three young girls have decided to play Lysistrata but discover during rehearsals that they would much rather do a performance about real historical women who were involved in the peace issue. So in this one-act play, which has a running time of under an hour, we meet a variety of characters. Siri Derkert, Bertha von Suttner, Agda Montelius, Alva Myrdal and others are presented and discussed. What did they do well, what was their time like, what do we want to question today? At the end of the play, the nuclear weapons issue plays a major role, and just before time runs out, the trio manages to reach the women in Pussy Riot who were imprisoned for their protests. Many characters, sometimes portrayed, sometimes described by three actors. The play is from 2016 and had its premiere at Fredens Hus in Uppsala. 

The new theater is located in Brunnsparken and there will be parking. If you take the bus, the stop is Korskyrkan Adolfsberg, lines 1, 4 or 701.
