World-class sustainable entrepreneurship – Faisa Abdi is awarded by Zonta International

We are extremely proud to announce that Faisa Abdi, nominated by the Falun-Borlänge Zonta Club, has been awarded one of ten Zonta Women in Business Leadership Awards 2025, with a scholarship of $10,000, awarded by Zonta International.

This year, Zonta International received 35 applications from 26 countries. District 21 received 16 highly qualified applications, and after a rigorous and competitive selection process, Faisa was named the district's candidate.

Faisa is an entrepreneur, leader and change maker. She is driven by networking, business development and sustainable development. Together with two co-founders, she built QC Renewable Energy, https://www.qcrenewableenergy.com/, operating in Sweden and East Africa, with the goal of implementing sustainable energy solutions with a focus on energy efficiency, solar energy and waste management. She is often described as a joy-maker — independent, courageous and passionate about diversity, sustainability and the equal value of people.
