Save the date for the European Zonal Meeting in Gothenburg 2027

In 1995, the very first European Zonta meeting was held and since 2009, the meetings have taken place regularly every two years. 

For the first time, we in Sweden have been tasked with organizing the meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to share opinions, learn new things and discuss areas that are important to women in Europe without any formal official requirements. 

The meeting will be held between April 23 and 25, 2027 and the theme will be:

“"From knowledge to action. Climate crises threaten biodiversity and women's health —silent women threaten democracy."”

During the meeting, on the conference day of April 24, we will highlight the situation of women as the climate changes and how women's voices are silenced due to hatred and threats. We plan to end the conference day with a panel discussion on what we within Zonta can do to create change.

We are happy and proud that the City of Gothenburg will invite us to a reception at Börshuset to inaugurate the meeting. We will also offer other social activities.
