International Day of Women and Girls in Science

On February 11, we celebrate the International Day for Women and Girls in
the science. The day aims to ensure that more women and girls are represented in
science subjects. It is crucial to the realization of the UN's global goals for
Sustainable Development.
Women make up only 30 percent of all scientific and technical researchers. In order to
ensure equal access to scientific subjects, it is important to address them
underlying and limiting factors such as gender stereotypes. It will also
help to equalize other inequalities between women and men. Diversity within
science gives us more researchers who bring new perspectives, talents and creativity.
The International Day of Women and Girls in Science is a reminder that
women play an important role in science and technology and that their representation should
improve.
