Women make up approximately 25 percent of those working in the aerospace and aviation industries worldwide. To support women in the field with access to all resources and representation in decision-making positions on an equal footing with men, Zonta International is offering the Amelia Earhart Fellowship at the doctoral level.
The scholarship was established in 1938 in memory of the famous pilot and Zonta member Amelia Earhart.
The scholarship can be applied for by you who are studying at doctoral level with very good academic results and who are conducting research that can be applied to aviation or space science at an accredited university or college.
You must be enrolled in a full-time doctoral program and have completed the first year of the program or obtained a master's degree in an aviation or space-related field at the time of application.
When the scholarship is paid, you must still be enrolled in the doctoral program and you will graduate no earlier than April 2028.
USD 12,000 is awarded to up to 30 fellows per year.

The Zonta Women in STEM Award can be applied for by those who demonstrate groundbreaking research or discoveries in STEM and who are studying in their second year of undergraduate studies to their final year of graduate studies.
The Zonta Young Women in Leadership Award can be applied for by you, 16 to 19 years old, who have demonstrated leadership skills and commitment to public service and community issues.
The Zonta Women in Business Leadership Award can be applied for by you, 18 to 35 years old, who in studies or work life demonstrate exceptional leadership, entrepreneurial spirit and ethical conduct.
