Jane M Klausman – Women in Business Scholarship

Although women have come a long way in education and careers in the business world, they still make up a minority of today's leaders and people in power. Zonta International's Women in Business scholarship aims to help women pursue a business-related degree at bachelor's or master's level with the aim of reaching a leadership position in business or society.

Who can apply
The scholarship can be applied for by you who are studying on a bachelor's or master's program with a specialization mainly in economics, financial management, business management, business technology, information technology, marketing, personnel management, international business operations or entrepreneurship at an accredited university or college.

The application can be made after you have completed the first year of your education, i.e. from year two until graduation.

When the scholarship is paid out, you must still be enrolled at the university and you will graduate in May 2025 at the earliest.

You are expected to strive for a leading position in business and society and have good academic results and live or study in Sweden or Latvia at the time of application.

Scholarship amount
5,000 USD to whoever can get the scholarship through our district (Sweden and Latvia).

Application deadline
The application deadline is August 15.

The club appoints a candidate who must be available to the district by September 15 at the latest.

This is how you search
Download application documents on the Zonta International website Women in Business Scholarship (zonta.org) and submit the application to your local Zonta club. If you are not sure which club suits you, please contact us before applying stipendier@zonta.se with details of place of study and residence, we will direct you to the Zonta club to which you should send your application.

Keep this in mind when searching:

• fill in all information
• stick to the specified character limit. Applications that are too long will not be considered. Enter number of characters.
• the application must be written in English. Documents in other languages must be translated into English.
• type on computer. Handwritten documents are not accepted.

Important dates:
Last day of application 15 August.
The club's election of a candidate for the district, September 15.
District 21 election of candidate Zonta International due, October 15.
Zonta International announces the International Fellows, in December.
